At Samp, we believe that a sustainable environmental and energy transition starts with quickly modernizing existing industrial facilities. We are convinced that our solution can be a catalyst!
Environmental and economical challenges urge owners and operators to adapt much faster than ever before to new processes and feedstocks. And yet, the pace at which a site can evolve is severely limited by highly inefficient methods and processes.
Samp reduces to a few hours – instead of weeks or months – the time needed to prepare, execute and capture any modification on site. With Samp, all teams speak the same language, consolidated around an always up-to-date 3D point cloud of equipment and systems. Our solution enables safer and faster revampings, smooth handovers and better asset management.
Our Story
After her Ph.D., Shivani (now co-founder and CTO) wanted to solve deep technical problems and apply her unique Machine Learning expertise to tackle some of the major societal challenges. Energy was at the top of her list!
Laurent (now co-founder and CEO) had been working for large companies in the energy & utilities industry for 15 years, experiencing the major challenges faced by this industry, needing a major shift. Willing to maximize his impact, he decided to embrace an entrepreneurial journey.
Shivani and Laurent met within Entrepreneur First – a “deep tech” accelerator and investment facility that aims to develop new innovations across a range of frontier technologies.
The complementarity of Laurent’s first-hand experience of the industry’s need to adapt quickly to modern challenges together with Shivani’s unique tech was obvious. They shared a common excitement: together, they would automate the creation of a Shared Reality for industrial sites to accelerate their modernization. Samp was born!
